Niger – Bilma: 80 migrants found abandoned by smugglers in the desert

They are eighty migrants of various nationalities to be saved in extremis of death by the security forces. They were rescued at the Ashougour well.

According to security sources contacted by Sahelien.com, these migrants have suffered terrible tortures from their smugglers before being abandoned without water or food.

We learn that all these migrants were transported to Dirkou, a garrison village located more than 600 km north of Agadez.

At the end of May, forty-four migrants were found dead in the Nigerien desert while attempting to travel to Libya.
