This adept of sufism went through Hamdallaye, who was at that time the capital of the Macina empire. He spent time in Nigeria with Amir Mohamed Bello, son of a great scholar Usman Dan Fojo.\u00a0At the time, Amir Mohamed Bello was in conflict with his neighbour in Borno. It was a difficult time for El Hadj Umar Tall because the conflict marked him a lot.<\/p>\n<p>On his return from Mecca, he learned that the conflict was continuing.
