The president of the district court of Niono (Ségou region), Soungalo Koné, was kidnapped on Thursday, November 16 in the evening.
According to the Malian army, the judge was kidnapped at his house by armed men aboard a white Toyota on Thursday night “at his home in the B5 neighborhood in Niono”.
For now, the reason for his abduction and the identity of the kidnappers are not yet known. A pursuit has been initiated by the defense and security forces to find the judge.
