The President of the National Assembly, Salifou Diallo, aged 60 years, died Saturday, August 19, in Paris, has announced the office of burkinabè parliament.
Elected at the head of the National Assembly in December 2015, Mr. Diallo held high-level functions in Burkina Faso.
Former strategist of the former President Blaise compaoré, Mr. Diallo co-founded in 2014, the Movement of the People for Progress (current ruling party) with Roch Marc Christian kaboré (Head of State) and Simon compaoré, the current Minister of Security.
He was also the main “negotiator” responsible of Touareg conflict in Niger and Mali issue”. Since March 2017, he ensured the presidency of the presidential party before his death this Saturday in France.
