In Mopti, communities seek a way out of crisis

A forum on peace and social cohesion gathered on Thursday, June 20, the youth of Ginna Dogon and Tabital Pulaaku and several communities in the region.

According to Dramane Yalkouyé, Youth President of Ginna Dogon, “The main objective of this forum is to meet young people from the region and to identify local initiatives that can bring peace”.

The 108 communes” of the region are represented, says Amadoun Dicko,  Youth President of Tabital Pulaaku.  And to add: “we are here today to speak between brothers, between sisters, between friends and between relatives.  We believe that inclusiveness is there, because the Dogon, the Fulani, the Mossi, the Bozo, the Tamasheq all are represented”.

This forum was an opportunity for communities to exchange and share ideas for a quick way out of the infernal cycle of violence in the Mopti region.
