The UN mission camp in Timbuktu was the target of mortar fire on Monday, May 15, around 1:15 pm.
According to MINUSMA, the provisional record is seven wounded, four peacekeepers and three members of the Malian armed forces (FAMa).
« According to the preliminary reports, eight shells were fired at the airport, not far from which is the Super Camp of MINUSMA », the mission said in a statement.
This attack occurred after the one of May 3 against the same camp in Timbuktu and had made one dead and nine wounded among the peacekeepers.
