In Bamako, early July 30, a “box containing about 20 cartridges of various types of weapons” was found near the residence of Manassa Dagnoko, President of the Constitutional Court.
In a statement, the public prosecutor said the ammunition was discovered by the police officers on duty at the home of the president of the fifth institution of the country.
“A team of the technical and scientific police took evidences”, the prosecutor said in the evening. He also announced the opening of an investigation to find out how the ammunition ended up at Mrs. Dagnoko’s house.
In Mali, the circulation of weapons is almost absent in the debates despite numerous armed robberies in urban centers.
