Mali : resumption of classes at Kidal High School after 5 years of interruption

Since its closure in March 2012, following the occupation of the city by armed groups, it is this Monday, October 30 that the Kidal High School reopened.

A total of 13 students, 6 girls and 7 boys, are returning to classes at Attaher Ag Ilal High School in Kidal. During the reopening, the directors of the Academy and the Education Outreach Center as well as educational partners in Kidal were present.

«The majority of teachers are here», the principal told Sahelien.com correspondent on the spot. The rehabilitation of the premises continues.

Last June, the Diploma of Fundamental Studies tests took place for the first time since the beginning of the security crisis in the north of the country. The only examination center in the region had 72 candidates, including 56 non regular candidates.
