In the late morning of Wednesday, a blunder was committed by Nigerien soldiers south of the Toumour commune in the Diffa region.
A military patrol in the area confused a vehicle carrying gardeners going to work to Boko Haram members. There are about ten dead and several wounded.
Even if no official source confirms the tragedy yesterday, some observers in Diffa are speaking of it: “This war is difficult and challenging for us! It is costly in means but also ruins morality. One must know how to keep reason”.
Last year, the locality was attacked several times by the terrorist group Boko Haram.
