Niger : several migrants missing in the desert

A group of migrants abandoned by smugglers was found on Sunday June 25, in the Nigerian desert.

According to medical sources contacted by Sahelien.com, 23 migrants are currently under observation at the integrated care center of Séguedine.

According to these survivors reached by our correspondent in Agadez “the migrants of 75 in total were aboard three vehicles but they were abandoned by their smugglers fearing the repression of the security forces. ”

From a security source, several corpses were buried by agents of the Republican guard stationed in Séguedine with the support of the population. But other migrants are still missing.

On June 13, 92 migrants abandoned by smugglers fleeing the security forces were rescued.
